He was and is still deeply loved, and is already greatly missed. He was a wonderful father, father-in-law and grandfather and was kind, friendly, generous, a good listener, quick to laugh, a giver of wise advice and easily liked by those who met him. Roy worked at Lyons Township High School (LTHS) in LaGrange, IL for 35 years where at first he was a biology teacher and then spent most of his career as a counselor. He has two children, Mark Muchna and Nancy Dougherty a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Muchna a son-in-law, Mike Dougherty and eight grandchildren: Kaitlin, Jack, Danny, Ellie Dougherty, and Jessica, Amy, Matthew, Mollie Muchna. He is preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Dorothy Muchna, who died in 1994. He was the only child of Jerry and Libby Muchna and was born in Oak Park, IL on June 4, 1929.
